The 2 legendary lash curler in comparison – Shu Uemura v.s. Shiseido

I love a good mascara, I think I own more than 10 mascaras at the moment. It’s crazy. I know. But creating the perfect fluttering lashes, lash curler comes first for sure. Before I apply mascara I always always curl my lashes.

I have been using the one from Shiseido for 8 years since grade 9! But then one day I left it in a hotel, and I have switched to the Shu Uemura afterwards. And lately, I purchased the Shiseido curler again for my gym bag. So I have them both now. I have noticed the new Shiseido one is not exactly like the old one that I have. But it is still very good. (They must have updated it to a new version.) I have two Shu Uemura curler, one in silver, one in gold. They are both very very good. Spa experience at the Caudalie Spa Hong Kong

I had a very rough and stressful month at work and I couldn’t sleep well for weeks, my skin is definitely complaining! So I decided to save my skin and treat myself. I visited the Caudalie Spa twice last month, so now I can write a review to share with you guys. 🙂

The treatment I had was the VINOPERFECT RADIANCE FACIAL, for complexion Correcting & Anti-Dark Spot.

The boutique & spa is located on Gough Street, Central. I am sure anyone who knows Central and loves food will know where this street is. It’s kind of between Sheung Wan and Central. With quite a few nice restaurants and cafes dotting the street.

The ground floor is a boutique and the second floor is the spa area. Upon arrival I was greeted by one of their staff, and once I told them I am here for a treatment, I was led into the waiting area with a cup of tea. They gave me a form to fill in for my first visit to be sure that I am not allergic to what is used in the following treatment. Then I was led to the treatment room on the second floor. The treatment room is quite big to Hong Kong standard and there are only two rooms. The atmosphere is quiet and tranquil, which makes you forget that you’re actually in Central, the busiest area in town.

Designer Talk – Phoebe Philo of Céline

Phoebe Philo is British. She was born in Paris while her parents were working there. Graduated in 1996, a year after Stella McCartney, from the famous Central Saint Martins of college of Art and Design in London.

In 1997, She started working for Chloé as assistant designer to Stella McCartney, who was the creative director at the time.

In 2001, she succeeded McCartney’s postion as Creative Director. After The Gucci Group offered McCartney to launch her very own label Stella McCartney. Philo then left her prestige position at Chloe after 6 years, living in Paris, to move back to London to be with her family. During her break, she had her second child.

Handbag addict | Céline Handbag Fall Winter 2015

I was scanning through my email inbox one morning, and as usual I have tons of unread emails sitting in my inbox, naturally I look for the ones that worth opening…. Within seconds I found it. Céline! The word caught my eyes and my finger clicked on it without thinking.

Since the luggage series is born in 2010, every season Phoebe Philo brings us different versions of them, from different textiles to different colors. Which reminds me of Manneken Pis in Brussels.
