I got this Benefit Goof Proof brow pencil today and I can’t wait to review it for you girls! It actually hasn’t been launched yet! So I am excited to try this product first hand and to review it. The official launch date is set to be 24th June in the UK. The price point of this Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil is going to be £18.5.

 

First let’s take a look at the package! Such cute packaging! I mentioned in my previous post that I am a sucker of fancy packaging, that’s why I bought the Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic night cream last month. Well, from that experience I can tell that you really can’t judge a book by its cover. And expensive products don’t guarantee anything magical too.

 

So let’s see if this little cutie live up to its standard then. The brand Benefit is actually from San Francisco, but this particular Goof Proof brow pencil is made in Japan! This brow pencil is housed in a cute silver packaging with a diamond shaped cap on, matching the diamond shaped tip inside.

 

There are 6 different colours to choose from and you pick the colour according to your hair colour.  What I have got here as a sample is number 6 which is the darkest colour of all. I love dark bold brows which are well defined, and strong brows definitely makes me feel and look more confident! But to be honest, this shade number 6 is way too dark even I have naturally dark brown hair can’t handle this color, I need to be very light handed and blend it out with a spoolie. I would suggest to go with number 4 or maximum 5 if you have natural dark brown hair like me. You can use this link to find out which shade you should get here, just scroll to the very bottom.

The texture of this pencil is quite dry and the colour is very intense. which I like when creating bold dark brows. The colour also glide on easily, and because of the teardrop shape of  this brow pencil, it is very easy to create that sharp end.

 

This is a major bonus for me, because a strong brow needs to be precise, and I always have trouble creating that thin sharp end a few days in after I sharpened my brow pencil. With this product, there is no such issue, thanks to the special teardrop shape!

In terms of wear, I haven’t yet wear this brow pencil for anything longer than 6 hours yet so I can’t testify if it lives up to its 12 hour waterproof claim, but so far it doesn’t smudge which my 6 hour day out.
