One morning, I found the rubber pad of my Shu umera curler cracked and a lash is stuck in the crack! *omg* So this is what happened when you don’t change your rubber pad often and I learnt it the hard way. (Check yours and if it’s overdue, RUN to get refills and change it.)

I already have this bad habit of rubbing my eyes often at night, especially after I have removed my make up, sometimes I rub my own lashes off. I cannot afford my curler to add damage to my lashes!

So I went to the counter of Shu umera to get some rubber refill. To my surprise, the SA there told me that they don’t sell refills of rubber pads!

When you purchase the curler, there is one extra rubber pad refill in the box. I was told that after you have used the extra rubber pad refill it is time to change your curler as well! Well, to be honest, I don’t really buy what she said, my curler works fine and it is my favorite curler, along with the Shiseido one. I am not going to give it up nor spend another $20 on a brand new curler! So I decided to try this – replacing it with the Shiseido rubber pad! Because I need to replace it asap! I use curler and mascara everyday and I can’t live without my lash curler. Although I have other curlers at home Shu Uemura always top the list! Now I am happy that I can found a way to extend the lifespan of my favorite lash curler!
