I have heard so much about Aromatherapy Associates prior to trying this product. I have heard about this brand for a long time, especially their very famous bath oils. But I never pull the plunge to try anything from them because they are quite a luxury one. I didn’t want to commit to spend that kind of money before knowing it is really good.
So what made me purchased my first product from AA?
It was when I spent my holiday in the Lake district, Windermere , we stayed at the beautiful Burnside hotel for a long weekend. Unfortunately, we only had nice weather on the first day and the rest of the days are all rainy and miserable just like typical UK weather. So I went to the hotel spa one morning to have a massage and a facial. The spa used Aromatherapy Associates products on me and then you guessed it. I fell in love with their stuff and that’s why I got this Revitalising face oil after the treatment.
The facial was reasonably priced, I paid £60 for an hour of Aromatherapy Associates facial. In Hong Kong, any beauty treatment that uses Aromatherapy Associate products will cost you at least HKD 1,000+.
Onto the actual Aromatherpay Associates revitalising face oil itself. It is hosted in a glass bottle with a pump. You will only need one pump each time. The one that I have looks slightly different from the usual ones, cause mine is a salon sized bottle. I have a few drops on my palm in the photo above, not sure if you can see it clearly, as the color of the face oil is almost transparent only with a hint of yellow. The amount you see on my palm is all I need for my entire face and neck.
The one that I have in the photo above looks slightly different from the usual ones, because mine is a salon sized bottle 50ml. The normal one that you find in department store are 15ml (£45). The amount you see on my palm is all I need for my entire face.
This Aromatherapy Associate face oil gives me such a spa-like sensation, and that’s why I love it so much. It smells wonderful as it has a combination of my favorite essential oils, which are Geranium, Rose and Frankincense. I would rub and warm the oil between my palms, and bring my hands close to my nose to deeply inhale the scent for a few times before pressing it onto my face. Oh I love the inhaling part, it makes me feel so relaxed!
Direction for use – First, clean the skin thoroughly, then apply toner, followed by serum and then the revitalising face oil. Finally, cream is optional depending on your skin type. For me, I have combination skin and I would only layer some cream on top at night. If I use it daytime, I would skip the cream and apply any base makeup that I wear that day. It helps your base makeup product to spread more evenly on your skin. See my previous post, the life-changing foundation trick. It helps to avoid foundation setting on your dry lines and gives you a natural glow.
My skin drinks up the oil fairly quick, it doesn’t make me look greasy at all. Not to mention it is really hydrating and it gives me a nice glow after using it for 4 weeks. I recommend this product and yes I would probably repurchase. : )
Once a week, I use it as a massage oil. I would deep clean my face and scrub it. (I use La Mer’s The refining facial, which I am obsessed with. See review here.) Then, I apply 2-3 pumps of this oil all over my face and massage it for 15 mins. When I am finished, I soak a soft face towel in warm water (as hot as you can handle is best) and cover my face for a while and clean my face with it. Then you will have the softest skin ever! I would be so satisfied with my skin that I would skip any base makeup that day!
Have any of you tried Aromatherapy Associates’ product before? Any recommendations? I am already wondering what to get since Christmas is coming and they are giving out little free gift with any purchase!
Great items Really interesting post…thx for sharing! xx
