So I have relocated to the UK and I have dived myself right into their beauty skincare scene here. I see Charlotte Tilbury everywhere here and the ladies are crazy about everything Charlotte. Their cosmetic counter just look like a million dollar backstage with everything in rose gold, looking glamorous. So recently I picked up their Magic Night cream from Charlotte’s NEW Magic Skin Trilogy range, … Continue reading Review | Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Night Cream
I had a very rough and stressful month at work and I couldn’t sleep well for weeks, my skin is definitely complaining! So I decided to save my skin and treat myself. I visited the Caudalie Spa twice last month, so now I can write a review to share with you guys. 🙂
The treatment I had was the VINOPERFECT RADIANCE FACIAL, for complexion Correcting & Anti-Dark Spot.
The boutique & spa is located on Gough Street, Central. I am sure anyone who knows Central and loves food will know where this street is. It’s kind of between Sheung Wan and Central. With quite a few nice restaurants and cafes dotting the street.
The ground floor is a boutique and the second floor is the spa area. Upon arrival I was greeted by one of their staff, and once I told them I am here for a treatment, I was led into the waiting area with a cup of tea. They gave me a form to fill in for my first visit to be sure that I am not allergic to what is used in the following treatment. Then I was led to the treatment room on the second floor. The treatment room is quite big to Hong Kong standard and there are only two rooms. The atmosphere is quiet and tranquil, which makes you forget that you’re actually in Central, the busiest area in town.
I discovered Kashoen when I travelled to Tokyo a few months ago, and I was completely fascinated by their craftsmanship. In today’s world of technology, we have less and less items handmade. As well, handmade items are associated with luxury in return. Just like the top notch designer leather handbags we ladies love, are a work of art made by traditional craftsmen. Kashoen is like the Hermes of makeup brushes in Japan. It has been producing exceptional quality makeup brushes for 130 years, using traditional craftsmanship.
I am free from work at the moment so I can have more time to write more and post more! I have been working 12-14 hours a day recently! So glad to have some time off on my own.
Today I would like to show you my recent beauty routine! In my previous post, I have posted how I changed my brows for a thicker & darker look. These days I am exploring some Chanel skincare products and sporting a more natural makeup look. You don’t have to use the same products that I use here, but the point is just to share with you all a very simple, basic skincare routine of mine.
One morning, I found the rubber pad of my Shu umera curler cracked and a lash is stuck in the crack! *omg* So this is what happened when you don’t change your rubber pad often and I learnt it the hard way. (Check yours and if it’s overdue, RUN to get refills and change it.)
I already have this bad habit of rubbing my eyes often at night, especially after I have removed my make up, sometimes I rub my own lashes off. I cannot afford my curler to add damage to my lashes!
So I went to the counter of Shu umera to get some rubber refill. To my surprise, the SA there told me that they don’t sell refills of rubber pads!
In Japan, all pharmacies are filled with countless beauty products and this product is just one of the many that I have picked up when I traveled to Tokyo a few months back. I have seen this product featured in Japanese magazines before, and there are loads of good reviews about it. So of course, I have to get it! And I have been using it twice a week for 3 weeks already!
The powder is individually packed in a tiny plastic cube container which is very convenient if you just want to bring a few of them with you to the gym or to a trip.
Hello everyone! It has been a while since I have posted anything and I am truly guilty for it! So this is what I have been using for a while, but just haven’t got time to write about it.
It is the SK II Cellumination Aura Essence! The 30ml bottle is US$160 / HK$990 and the 50ml is US$ 235 / HK$1450. I got mine on Luxola with a 30% off! If you are living in Hong Kong, be sure to check the price in store before you buy online, unless it is discounted like I had with Luxola, because Luxola’s listed price is actually more expensive than the price in store.
This rescue treatment mask is made out of plant milk and white blossom, I can actually smell and feel that after I squeezed some onto the back of my hands! Big ups for that! Means it’s mild and gentle for your skin, so way to go! YAY!
After 15 minutes, my skin has absorbed 90% of it, but it has some residue left on my face though. I can feel the moisture is overloaded which I have to tissue it off.
I have actually wrote this product review during my trip, but I just didn’t have time to post it. I have been very busy at work since I came back from my trip to Europe, so now I am uploading it for you here!
So I bought this for my trip because I needed some mask to keep my skin in good shape since the weather there is very dry.
So the first time I used it in my hotel in Strasbourg, the weather there was so cold and dry. After a day of sightseeing I can feel my face became red because of the strong wind!
