The hydrafacial experience

Hydrafacial has been out there for a while already and the first time I had this facial was while I was still living in Hong Kong.

What it does is that it rejuvenate your skin, helping you achieve better skin tone and  texture. It has been proven to achieve better result then IPL, microdermabrasion and any chemical peel.

What I like about the hydrafacial machine is that it’s ability to clear my skin without the painful extraction we usually have when done manually, which includes pinching the skins and forcing the nasty bits to come out of your pore, sometimes leaving your pores large and red. With the hydrafacial, the machine uses suction, like a vacuum, to remove the nasty bits from your skin to unclog your pores.

The machine is also able to penetrates the serum into your skin using the vortex-fusion tool afterwards. When you leave the salon, your skin just look more glowing and radiant, no down time needed! Which is the best part! Even my boyfriend commented how glowing my skin was after I came home, the result is really visible which I love!

The hydrafacial treatment can be made targeted to your skin concerns, such as hyperpigmentation, anti-aging and acne. The price ranges from £120- £180 in the UK. You can find the nearest clinic that provides hydrafacial treatment here.

The facial consist for 4 main steps.

  1. Vortex cleansing and exfoliating. The therapist would remove your makeup and uses a vortex tool that has suction to it, to gently clean and exfoliate any dead cells and sebum that’s on your skin. It feels like a little vacuum because it lifts your skin up and inside its like a swirling brush spinning. Hearing the sound of the machine satisfies me, as I feel that my skin are clearer already!
  2. Peeling. The acid that they use are both glycolic and salicylic, but they are so mild that you dun feel tingling at all, not to mention there is absolutely no redness after! Thats why there is no down time! What is does is that it loosen deep pore debris and dirt so it helps to prevent any acne forming.
  3. Painless vortex extraction. Using strong vacuum suction, it effectively reomves any blackheads and impurities.
  4. Vortex fusion. This step uses vortex fusion to infuse a super serum to your skin, which is packed with antioxidant, potent peptide and hyaluronic acid. It works to rejuvenate and repair your skin.

Let me know if you have tried the hydrafacial before and how you find it! Do you think its worth the money?

I only get this once in a while because it’s not cheap, but if this is what keep my skin looking young and glowy? Then, #shutupandtakemymoney! lol
