Lime crime is an Indie cool-girl beauty brand from Los Angeles which is certified vegan and cruelty-free brand by both PETA and Leaping Bunny.  Although it is not available in Asia yet, but you can get them from Revolve, one of my favorite online shop when it comes to clothes shopping.

The doe foot applicator is perfect for applying the lip color precisely. The shade riot is a perfect shade for fall and winter, as it is a deep maple leaves shade with a brown undertone that screams FALL!

But seriously, I think the color swatch on the paper or my hand doesn’t capture the right colour. The closest to reality is actually me wearing the lipstain.

Colour wise, I think it is super flattering for my asian skin. It looks very pretty in person. I always get compliments whenever I wear this lip color. This velvetine is also very pigmented and saturated, I usually only go over my lip once with this lip velvet.

I sometimes only use my finger to apply a very thin layer when I want a less bold, more low key look. It would look more natural, almost like a I-just-bit-my-lips kinda look.

Texture wise, it is a little on the drying side but nothing as dry as the matte lipstick from MAC. I applied it at 10am before entering the office and had lunch at 1.30pm. The color is still intact before I had lunch, but after lunch my lips starts to feel dry and there are some flakes on my lips. Also the color came off like 30% after I had lunch, mostly gone on the side of my lips but the center of my lips still have pigments on.

In terms of longevity, I think the YSL The slim matte lipstick is more long lasting, as it has amazing staying power with a leathery matte finish which it quite comfortable. You can read my review here.
