Most department stores only pick a few items per designer collection to sell in their store, so you are pretty much at the mercy of buyers at high-end department stores.

Now here comes Moda Operandi, the website that allows you to purchase items straight off runway.

Moda Operandi partnered with designers and fashion houses so that we can pre-order pieces we see from the runways, which Moda calls it trunk shows. Within an hour after the show ends, you will receive a push notification on your phone to tell you, “Hey! That beloved piece which you’re drooling over is available now!”. Just how cool is that?

So you can be your own “buyer” and you can choose any look you fancy from the runway! Because not every style you see from the runway shows is going to hit the sales floor!

The way it works?

1 – You fall in love with a look from runway, be it from New York, Paris or London. You pay half the price upfront and the remainder when the items ship.

2 – After you have secure that unique design, the designer will start to work on your pre-ordered piece, with the deposit that you paid to get the precious materials and fabric that they need and start working on your piece. Because it involves high level of craftmanship, it may take up to three months for the piece to finish.

3 – Et viola! Your piece will arrive in signature Moda wrappings and packaging! You favorite look from fashion week just at your finger tips! You don’t have to worry if the buyers don’t think the look is practical enough or sellable!
