Would you spend $53 on a concealer? | Tom Ford concealing pen review

I have been eyeing this concealing pen from Tom Ford for weeks, but I just can’t bring myself to pay for it at $53. The packaging looks luxurious and when I tried it on at the counter it feels oh-so-gorgeous! But still, do I need a $53 concealer to conceal my under eye dark circles? Probably not…? I am sure my trusted Nars radiant creamy concealer ($30) is already one of the best in the market.

But I want to try something new! I thought of getting the Chanel concealer, but when I tried it on, the coverage seems to be quite light, lighter than Nars, so I don’t think it will do the trick.

Anyways, I was so happy when my babe offered to get me this Tom Ford concealing pen. So I made a video to review it! I hope you guys find it helpful.

This concealer pen does not have high coverage like the NARS creamy concealer, I would say it is about medium coverage. At least it doesn’t cover my dark circle completely, but it does brighten the area, covering about 70% of my dark circle.

I personally like it that way because I find that if I cover my dark circles entirely, it actually makes my eyes appearing smaller, when the under eye area is too bright. Anyone resonates with me?

But I like that it has some particles in the formula which makes your skin look luminous and glowy so it gives you a healthy and radiant look. It gives a natural finish as well, unlike the Cle de Peau concealer stick which covers dark circle completely with very high coverage and it is also completely matte. I would recommend the conealer from Cle de peau if you are filming videos or on camera but not in day to day life.

Have you guys tried this concealing pen from Tom Ford? Or have you been wanting to try it out? Which under eye concealer is your Holy Grail?

Leave me a comment below, it would make my day!

    1. I am in the shade Fawn. I do recommend you to go down to the counter to try it in person because it’s not a cheap one afterall. Better try the shade first before you buy. Their BAs are very experienced so they can help you pick out the most suitable shade for you. : )
